The Phantom of the East Tower is another fun read from author Ellen Alexander and is part of the Dinswood Chronicle series. The book is ideal for middle school aged readers and is full of mystery twists and turns. Alexander does a nice job setting the spooky atmosphere of the tower and castle. The mix of the mystery and young romance is also a good mix. ( )

Book 3 in the Dinswood Chronicles find Emma, Martha, Doug, and Sebastian back at Dinswood Academy for another school year. This time, they run into Andy, a runway teenager who’s living in the ship beneath the castle. And as they’ve gotten older, their hormones blossom as they develop relationships with members of the opposite sex. ( )

Too young for me I'm afraid and I have gotten past the stage where books about kids dealing with boarding school is interesting. I found it well written but not enough action and too much talking and angst among the kids relationships. I think the proper age group 10-14 might find it interesting. ( )
