A woodcutter found him in the woods and raised him as his own. He turned into a beautiful child and treated his other brothers and sisters poorly. One day a beggar woman came to the house and claimed that the "star child" was hers. He refused to go with her, then turned into an ugly boy. He went off into the world to find his mother. Along the way, he was sold as a slave and forced to go and look for gold. Each time he had found the gold instead of bringing it back to the man, he gave it to a poor leper who ended up being his mom.. She was really a queen and he turned into a ruler of the land. He was loving and kind and there was peace in the land. A beautiful baby is found by a woodcutter abandoned in the woods. The woodcutter brings up the child as his own, but the child is conceited and ungrateful. One day, he is cursed with ugliness, which leads him to wander in search of his father. When he finds his father, he does not know until his father witnesses his change from conceited and ungrateful to humble and gracious. After the change, his father reveals himself, and the son is forgiven. The book would be useful in a discussion about humility, attitude, and rewards and consequences. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
