For Azure Springs Sheriff Caleb Reynolds, securing justice for the waifish and injured Em is just part of his job. He's determined to solve every case put before him in order to impress his parents and make a name for himself. Caleb expects to succeed. Although it didn’t suck me into the story completely, it was interesting and unique. The ending was beautiful. ( )

I really enjoyed this book! The first lines drew me in immediately. This is a book filled with a mystery, a love story and redemption..
Em has been searching for her sister that she had been separated from 7 years ago. During that time she has lived in a horrible environment. In her search she meets Caleb, a sheriff. He helps her on her quest and finds himself drawn to Em. They must both overcome their pasts and look toward a brighter future. ( )

Clean and refreshing read!

Honestly, I'd recommend this to anyone. Such a clean, refreshing read! Everyone dear to me knows just how much I hate a tearful read, but now, as I've finished this lovely book, I realize that it's not so bad. Tears of joy, anticipation and sadness trail through this story. As an aspiring author (currently brushing up different writing styles), Rachel Fordham's writing journey has inspired me to dig deeper. As well did Em and Caleb's story. Live and love. ( )

I'd heard this book was great, and was looking forward to reading it.
In the first couple of chapters, this book was fairly interesting, and it was definitely clean, but around
chapter seven, I found myself wanting to hurry up and finish it.
In the beginning, it had substance, but the story withered away after a while.
Not a lot of history about orphan trains, just a surface examination of the topic. The characters
were underdeveloped, not strong, but I'm thinking a person with a few years yet to mature and experience
life's ups and downs, will quickly identify with and enjoy this book's level of intensity, which was
light.
Acceptable in the relationship department, very clean. No heavy breathing, etc.
It could have had a LOT more Christianity and Scripture in it. Not much at all.
I'd say this book will appeal to young women, perhaps seniors in high school.

Em and her sister are separated after being on the orphan train. Em goes through many hardships until she is brought into the town of Azure Springs.
Sweet story. ( )
