One Night with the Billionaire by Sarah BallanceMy rating: 4 of 5 starsI liked Zoe she was neurotic, iron-willed and passionate. Ryder was aloof, alpha and ambitious. What they each lacked was faith in one another and the capacity to trust their feelings. The fear of how others would react and what they stood to loose almost cost them what was most important. Recently, I discovered author Sarah Ballance while reading another series and I am proud to say that she is an author worth seeking out. The ability to make a reader feel for characters that they may not like is a rare gift. One Night with the Billionaire is a HOT read. A sweet rags to riches story about unrequited love. As neighbors during their growing years, Ryder Nash was the boy from the other side of the tracks whereas Zoe Davenport was the rich girl living in the big mansion, crushing on the boy living in the servant quarters.

Many years later Zoe is a lawyer in her father's firm, each step and decision of her life tailored by her controlling father. When a scandal involving selfies of her hand picked senator fiance, and a number of young interns dominates the headlines, Zoe escapes to a private resort. And she comes face to face with Ryder, who is the owner.

Of course the inevitable happens, how can it not. Ryder's feelings were mutual but he was coerced into not expressing them and the reason why is the huge ticking time bomb of a secret that lies in the path of their happiness and a future together.

Honestly I must say that the beginning of this book was a little shaky for me. It didn't really grab me until about a third of the way through. I'm glad I stuck with it though because by the end of the book I couldn't put it down.

Ryder Nash never thought he would see Zoe Davenport again. Especially after her father made him an offer he couldn't refuse when they were younger. Now here she is, at his resort, and the chemistry between them is as strong as ever. He has too much to lose though, so she's hands off! Until she's not.....

Ryder Nash is the last temptation Zoe Davenport needs. She was just stood up at the altar, thank goodness, so getting involved no just won't do. Avoiding the sexy resort owner is easier said than done though!

Turned in to a great story and I would definitely recommend it! ( )
