What a read this was! This contemporary romance dual POV novel tugged at my heartstrings in all ways possible. There were plenty of hilarious scenes mixed with very serious moments but also steamy ones, which were never too abrupt in change.

Honestly, what is not to like about this book? I stumbled across this not knowing it was part of a series, and I adore a series where individual stories can be read as a standalone! It was easy to read yet descriptive, and I love getting both points of view because it adds so much depth to the characters. And oh Della, she is my favourite person ever! She has been through literal hell and comes out so strong and confident. Tucker is a whole green flag.

I love chapter 17, when she has a panic attack in front of Tucker and she feels self-conscious about her nightlight because she deems it infantile to need one, but it doesn't matter to him as long as she feels safe "If you need it, then you need it. Hell, if you need the sun in the room to sleep at night, I’ll pluck it out of the sky for you and hang it over there in the corner." my heart! And then they both open up to each other about their past. It was such a pure moment. And then the Tinder profile moment at the end where Tucker makes things up to her.… (plus d'informations)

Beatrice's "give a damn is busted" and is done following the rules! She has once again been passed over for a promotion at her advertising job that has been promised to her year after year. Fed up with not having a personal life due to working non stop and keeping her mouth shut, she finally says take this job and shove it.

Beatrice is a character that I think many people can relate too. The rat race of life can become overwhelming and is most of the time unfair. I love that her character finally says enough is enough, throws caution to the wind and does what she wants, when she wants; like drinking beer for breakfast, eating pie, and Officer Cooper.

Officer Austin Cooper just wants to be a small town cop and is called one afternoon to check on the lady outside the local dinner in her pajamas and bunny slippers. He can't help but be charmed by Bea as she admits she is done following the rules and claims "I'm a rule breaker." Officer Cooper does his best to help Bea in her quest to break all the rules and accomplish the things she has stated that she wants to do.

This was such a delightfully fun story that had me giggling and smiling throughout. The main characters were sweet, sassy, and sexy, while the other characters were fun, caring, and supportive. There was good character growth, and I absolutely loved the confidence that Bea's character found in herself.

The spicy scenes were spicy and well done. Again Bea shows that she is no longer afraid to voice what she wants and flaunt what she's got. Pepper scale… (plus d'informations)
