The first thing which stuns me, that it's Snootzytime for Maddie and Murphy and not Snoozytime. I was hoping to find some explanation in the book, why the word is here spelled with an extra "T", but found none and can just assume, it's because the adventures are of a little girl and her favourite stuffed animal, the dog Murphy. Maddie loves to look at the moon and her mother tells her, if you wish upon a star, it may come true. As it's bedtime, Maddie snuggles up with her cuddly toy Murphy and is soon fast asleep. All of a sudden she wakes up and finds, that she's floating in zero gravity. Luckily Murphy is with her and tells her, they are on the far side of the moon. They see a light in the distance and when they get closer they find a door with the words Control Center on it and behind the door the two meet a rather cute alien. Turns out, the alien needs help, as one of the stars has burned out and a light bulb change is required. Maddie and Murphy are happy to be of assistance and give their best to "bring the star back to light". Far too soon it's time to say goodbye to the alien and the moon and Maddie finds herself falling until she wakes up in her bed. Sadly, it was all just a dream. But wait! What's that? Was it really just a dream? The book, which is enhanced with sweet pictures on every page, is a cute little story, which makes a lovely bedtime read for small children. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Maddie gazes out her window at the moon and stars. As Maddie's bedtime arrives, Mom tells Maddie a secret- that a wish on a star could come true! Excited by the possibility, Maddie makes her wish - to go to the moon. She drifts off to sleep and when she opens her eyes she quickly learns that wishes really DO come true! This is a cute bedtime book about nighttime dream adventures. Maddie wishes on a star that she could visit the moon just before falling to sleep. In her dreams, she and her stuffed bear Murphy end up on the "far side of the moon." They end up at the 'command station', and make a new friend. This was where the story became a bit silly when they had to change a lightbulb in a star using special backpacks to get there and back. I was a little disappointed with the illustrations, but children will probably like them. It is definitely geared to young children. ( )
