Through the laughter and antics, we get to acquaint ourselves with the human side of these two characters. Behind the wealth and irritating family members like heartache, grief and self-doubt. Feelings we all can relate to. Kent speaks not only to the heart, but she tickles the funny bone while doing so. I found myself cheering for Shannon as the not-so-svelte gal to win over Declan from the first moment they "met" (if you can call their encounter a introduction!). I typically prefer stand-alone books, but happily made an exception for these stories. They flow well from book to book and cover the time frames smoothly. Sex warning...there are some explicit encounters described, but not too many to distract from the story. I know I appreciate a heads up so I am not surprised.
