A quick, fun, screwball comedy type read. Some ridiculousness and lots of chemistry. Good banter between the main characters. I’m interested in seeing where the series goes.

Series note: This is the first installment in a serial. Unfortunately, Scribd only has the audiobooks for the individual parts and not the complete collection. Thus, I will be listening in increments.

Shannon Jacoby is a mystery shopper, in other words, she is hired by a company to evaluate their stores and employee performance. During one rather embarrassing job, she encounters seriously sexy Declan McCormack, and it is literally "lust at first flush". Unfortunately for Shannon, Declan is soon to be revealed as her latest client. Will she be mixing business with pleasure?

This is a short yet charming and incredibly funny read.

Shannon is delightfully snarky and witty while Declan just oozes charm and sex appeal. His appreciation for and determination to win Shannon is wonderful - this is a man who knows what he wants and is not afraid to go after it.

The rest of the cast is well-fleshed out for such a short story, especially Shannon irrepressible mother whose antics made me snort with laughter.

All in all, an intriguing beginning and I look forward to continuing with part #2.

This book was laugh out loud funny. I couldn't put it down, so I was pleased I could read in an afternoon. Can't wait to try another one of Julia's books. ( )

Cute story but incomplete

I felt this was a great premise, but reached the end to find a lead in to the next book rather than some type of conclusion. I enjoyed the interactions as well as the backstory of each character. The story flows at a good pace and kept me interested. ( )

Seriously funny! Have read through the first three and am looking forward to the next. Although I despise books in installments, this one is worth it. ( )
