While Sumerian is unrelated to other regional languages in the middle east, we find it was used as a "lingua franca" and like Latin, spoken and written by priests, long after it was no longer spoken by a native population. And of course, it is worthy of study today. Look, you find the word "eden"! Used by the Hebrew/Arabs to this day. And the Sumerian word for "bull" = Gudguam, "ox" = Gudgu ~ God! The word for "god" is Dingir ~ Divine! And try this one: "heaven" = An, "hell" = Ki-gal ~ Angel !
