Fiction. Romance. Humor (Fiction.) HTML:With her fresh, charming, and hilarious take on contemporary romance, Cassie Mae introduces readers to a soon-to-be college freshman who's cashing in on her sweet reputationâ??and the unlikely guy who turns her life upside-down.

In the wealthy town of Sundale, Kelli Pinkins has hatched the perfect plan to capitalize on her sweet reputation. For a generous fee, she will be every trust-fund baby's dream: a Friday-night alibi, the "girlfriend" or "BFF" that parents dream about. With college approaching in the fall, Kelli's services are in demand more than ever, which means that her social life is nonexistent. But Kelli is A-okay with that. She's raking in cash for school. Besides, relationships are tricky, and sometimes very messy. She'd rather be at home on Xbox LIVE, anyway. Then the unexpected happens: She meets college stud Chase Maroney.

Chase isn't like the preppy, privileged guys Kelli usually meets in Sundale. For starters, he's twentysomething, always wears black, and he shoots back one-liners as fast as she can dish them out. But Kelli's attempts to drive Chase away falter when she realizes that he treats her like he really knows her, like he cares about knowing her. When Kelli finally gives in to the delicious kiss she's been fighting for so long, she faces a tough decision: make Chase a real-life boyfriend and risk her heart . . . or keep her clients and lose her first true love.

Often NA books are about a young man and a young woman who meet and has to get through an awful lot before they can be together, at least one of them has to have a serious childhood trauma and sex has to be a big part of the story. Luckily, Friday Night Alibi is nothing like that. Instead, there are great characters with realistic emotional baggage and a very cute story.

Chase may come off as quiet an ass at first, but I really liked him. He’s funny, geeky and so cute – I’ll admit it, I kind of swooned. Kelli isn’t likeable at first either, but I liked her thoughts and I loved how she saw everything; Chase, her life and everything with Alex. She isn’t some snobby rich kid, which is nice. I was kind of put off by the amount of religion in the story, but it never gets preachy.

I loved the relationship between Kelli and Chase. They are so nasty toward each other, but in a very fun way. They change so much as their relationship evolves, but the teasing never stops. I adored the nerdy parts, especially since I’m a big HALO fan myself, and I loved their nicknames and their obsession with oranges – it’s all so very cute!

What I didn’t like was the alibi-part – I just don’t get it. I don’t see how she gets anything out of it. Money, sure, but she doesn’t need them. And it doesn’t really seem like she has other customers than Alex. I didn’t care for Kelli’s friend either. She seems like a filler-character and I hate those.

The story isn’t that hard to figure out, but there are a few surprises and overall it’s a nice and funny story. I really enjoyed it and I highly recommend it for a cute summer-read.

He leído cosas mucho mejores en Wattpad... y gratis. ( )

Wasn't a fan of this novel ... too much drama where there didn't need to be any. ( )

**I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and the author for a honest review**

This is a light, easy, clean, and hilarious story about Kelli and Chase.

Kelli is used to staying at home every Friday night and being someone's alibi. Want to go out with that girl you have been forbidden to see? That guy? Look no farther Kelli has you covered albibi and all. She thinks she has it all, she helps others keep their trust fund while making some extra money on her own. Plus she has got to stay home and has masters her XBOX skills and made a friend. It's not until she sneaks out on alibi night with her BFF Sadie and meets the hot but "pervy"(her words) Chase Moroney.

Through their hilarious banter and orange flavored kisses, she finds herself falling in love. She just has to make a choice is he worth losing her clients?

This was a cute love story. I have to admit though at times they all seemed much younger than their ages because typical 18-21 year old do not talk the way they do, but I feel like it worked somewhat for the community described. Light read, I recommend for anyone who isn't looking for something super deep or sexual. Just some make-out sessions here. Though from the way those were written I think if the author had decided to up the steam she would have had NO problem doing so! :)

"It's not about experience, Kel. It's about knowing the person you're kissing." ( )
