This started well, but by the end the author seemed to have lost interest. So did I. ( )

I can't believe I actually read this entire book, waiting for it to get better or have some shocking twist. Unfortunately, the story stayed boring throughout, and the "secret" of the convent was not very interesting either. ( )

It took me forever to finished this book but finally finished it tonight. It started really good with Menina and her rescue from the hurricane. Then she was adopted by an American couple. The story shifted back and forth from the 1500's to 2000. But towards the middle it became more confusing when more characters were introduced. I keep on flipping back to the previous chapters so I can follow the flow of the story. This book was just okay for me. ( )

Un romanzo molto avvincente. La storia si svolge sia ai giorni nostri sia nella Spagna del 1500 ai tempi dell'inquisizione. I personaggi sono ben descritti e la storia è avvincente. ( )
