Three interesting short stories that can be read quickly and the reader interested and satisfied. Each of the stories are different and each draw the reader into the story quickly. To me the second one was a little confusing but interesting in its conclusion. Good reads and very interesting. ( )Cette critique a été rédigée pour LibraryThing Member Giveaways. Very odd, eclectic collection of short stories. They verged on sci-fi and surreal. It seemed a bit tedious to read, perhaps because it could get very confusing. On the negative side the first story, ‘Up A Rung’, is a smidge confusing with all the different names and nicknames and is quite boring. The second story, ‘Possession’ is on the verge of being too sci-fi. The third story, ‘Special Delivery’ is my favorite but not worth buying the whole book. Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of this work with the expectation that I would provide an honest review of the work.“Three Shorts” is a collection of three short stories by Matthew Iden, who has written a number of short-story collections like this. The collection itself is loosely related along a theme of crime with a unusual ending. I don’t want to give away the endings, so it is hard to write too much about these stories without ruining them for the reader. The characterizations in the first story “Up a Rung” are interesting and provides a new perspective on the genre of mob fiction. The second story “Possession” really makes you think and you really have to pay attention to the details to fully appreciate it. The third, “Special Delivery” is a great story of suspense and descriptive detail. Cette critique a été rédigée pour LibraryThing Member Giveaways. These were fun little short stories, but not the types of stories I usually seek out. One story was scary and one was crime related, neither of which I'm a fan of. Based on the reviews, I'm in the minority because many others like it! The stories were well written and did a nice job of developing the characters in a short timeframe. There were some interesting surprises too! aucune critique | ajouter une critique
