From the Depths of Death in the Midst of Chaos is the second novel of the True Love Trilogy - a genre-crossing story line that could pass as much for action and romance as it does its noticeably pointed focus in modern science fiction. Continuing things within the SpaceStation Colt series, this second book takes a startling detour for the darkest concerning an interstellar conflict which spans not only the Epic Universe (2009 - ) but its defunct literary predecessor Zero Universe (1987 - 1994) forever linking the two together. Lieutenant Marileva Dike-Sims returns to sort through the events introduced in her own universe while navigating the events left unfinished from a universe she never even knew existed. This eBook is one of those rare literary works that is so self-aware it becomes a mastery in every sense of its allotted genres by deeply honoring the characters and lending much-deserved closure to the old while propelling the current into their own new, expansive light credibly. Something To Root For: The intrigue of pro- and antagonistic characters makes them both thoroughly enjoyable; the amount and level of social commentary is staggering; the fiction part of this sequel happens to be almost three times the size of its predecessor while the science part includes stepped up technology to match; and the eloquence of the prose is matched only by the complexity of the story.… (plus d'informations)

Normally I keep fighting to read through a book, whatever it iis. But this felt so much like a lost of time.
An introduction after an introduction after … and then a flashback. The author has written a lot of words, before the story begins. Somehow.
From all the introductions I'd understood that there is mankind and another race, somehow engaged in war. The main character seem to have changed body, from woman to one being of the other species. Then there is a man; dead, but somehow with her help not dead. Love is
between them. And a child, who then, at the beginning of the story seems to be ratther grown-up. I wondered, how within this short arc of time.
Then the story begins. And the author switches from one piece of scene to the next and back and forth, that I was completely confused of the whereabouts …
Neither did I understand the intentions of the author nor the premise of the story.
Tthe title is somehow programmatic. This book needs complete rewriting to bring it to life.

I tried twice to read this twice but didn't manage to get past the first twenty pages. (This is very rare for me.) It was difficult to read because of both the style and the overblown descritptions. The language was dry and felt as if it was at two removes from the characters.

Also, the formatting was annoying for an eReader. The margins were large and the lines were double spaced, which meant not much fit on each page. ( )

I have to agree with everyone who has written a review. I did not like it. Mabey use the same subject but start over. If your book is good Im going to tell you its good wether anyone else likes it or not. This made no sense.

I have sat and tried to figure out how best to write this review. I decided that even though it may seem harsh, being straight forward is definitely the best.

First let me point out, that I did not finish this book. I really found nothing about the book that drew me in at all.

I really wished that I could have liked this book. The description promised so much potential. I just personally didn't like it. I know that everyone has their own definition of a great book. So please try the book for yourself if the book's description sounds interesting to you.

In conjunction with the Wakela's World Disclosure Statement, I received a product in order to enable my review. No other compensation has been received. My statements are an honest account of my experience with the brand. The opinions stated here are mine alone. ( )

This book had a good premise. The scale is huge, multiple worlds and plot lines. The author succeeded in keeping the reader engaged. I would recommend it to fans of the genre. ( )

It is not only naive but irresponsible to believe that my adversary doesn't carry the same amount of conviction for their cause as I do for mine. In that similarity, we can find the elusive common ground and bring about a process of dialogue to hopefully put conflict aside.
