A CBA Bestselling Author, A Christy Award-winning Author -- Representatives of the industrialized nations met in 2009 in Copenhagen. Joining them were delegates from the leading nations in the developing world, and the purpose of the convocation was to draw up a binding global environmental treaty. The treaty will be advanced again in 2010 in Mexico City, with the stated purpose of curtailing global warming. What the news media refrain from telling the general public is that these summits serve as a front for the clandestine group that is forcing the sovereign nations of the world to surrender to the rule of a coming one-world government.… (plus d'informations)

This book is less about the title and more about a religious agenda. If you're looking for an educated and logical argument from opponents of the climate change theory, keep looking. ( )

This book gives an alternate side of the great global warming debate. If you read Al Gore's book (An Inconvenient Truth) and believed it all, then this will annoy you.

This book is similar to "Cool It!" in that it presents theories that disagree with the media blitz telling us that we are all in dire danger of dying from excess heat and melting glaciers.

The alternate theories state that the ideas of climate change are much exaggerated. I suggest you read several of these alternate books before you make your own decision about the truthfulness of the climate change claims. ( )

Imagine a conspiracy so vast that it involves the leaders and political establishments of the world's nations, as well as the most prominent scientists from throughout the globe. Their evil plan is to take control of the planet and establish a Marxist (sic) regime that will enslave the world's peoples. And to promote these goals, they have promulgated a terrible lie -- claiming that the earth's climate is rising due to human activity and that this climate change must be dealt with before it threatens us all. You might think this the stuff of wacky, late- night sci -fi television, or the paranoid delusions of conspiracy advocates. Perhaps, but it is also believed by a substantial percentage of the US populace, and clearly by the author of The Global-Warming Deception.

Grant Jeffrey's book attempts to promote these claims in order to advance a religious agenda. The author (now deceased) was a Bible teacher and television preacher, not a scientist, and thereby unqualified to write a book on this subject. To no great surprise, his book is a political screed, written without a logic or consistency, and worst of all, one that is scientifically illiterate. Outlining its misconceptions and outright distortions would take another book. Suffice to say, readers seeking a temperate, sober examination of the evidence for and against anthropogenic climate change should seek elsewhere. The Global-Warming Deception will be convincing only to those whose minds are already made up, and those seeking ammunition for their arguments.

What if the world's scientists are right? What if global climate change (and the rapid melting of Antarctica) will cause a catastrophic rise in ocean levels in the next few decades, drowning coastal cities worldwide? Surely we owe it to our descendants to examine the evidence? This book will be of no help to those seeking a dispassionate investigation of the issues and their implications, and is not recommended. Jeffrey begins his book with the following pronouncement:

“The ultimate message of Bible prophesy is not one of doom and gloom, but rather the hope of redemption when Christ returns. The Church and the earth itself will be redeemed by Jesus Christ, the Lord of the universe. We have this sure promise in the person and completed work of Jesus. The redemption of humanity and the earth will take place in our generation, with the return of Christ to set up His Kingdom”

I’m afraid that’s as far as I got. Clearly this is not a book for grown ups, or for anyone with a conscientious, rational interest global warming issues or science in general. ( )

This book was very informative on the issues of global warming and was very thorough in disproving the theory. Showed the basis of how this issue arose politically and has become almost religious like in it's following. It has been scientifically proven false!
The best part of the book was the reminder that God is all powerful. Do we think as humans we can destroy what God has created? Do we have a responsibility to be good stewards of the land- Yes, but we are not powerful enough to outdo God!
