- Secondhand and antiquarian bookshop over 2 floors, tucked away in a central but quiet part of the historic town of Penrith, N.Cumbria, just 5 minutes from the Lake District.
We have a very broad range of books including local interest, mountaineering, archaology, railways, children's books, military history, theology, art and much much more. We also have a large selection of maps and some photos, postcards and cigarette cards.
Browsers are more than welcome. Take your time and relax a while on our sofas with a coffee or one of a selection of teas as you gaze out over the tranquil church garden and ponder the words at your lap.
Almost all the art on the walls, from local artists or with local content, is available to buy.
Gift vouchers are available.
