- Avdeling for spesialsamlinger er én samlet enhet organisatorisk, men holder til på to forskjellige steder.
Billedsamlingen inneholder historiske fotografier fra hele Norge med særlig vekt på Bergen og Vestlandet. Billedsamlingen holder til i Nygårdsgaten 5.
Manuskript- og librarsamlingen består av håndskrifter, antikvariske bøker, kart og aviser. Manuskript- og librarsamlingen ligger på Sydnesplass 7, (HF-bygget).
Avdeling for spesialsamlinger er åpen for forskere, studenter, presse, forlag og andre med interesse for lokal- og kulturhistorie.
Department of Special Collections
The Department of Special Collections is one unified oganizational unit, located at two different places.
The Picture Collection is a collection of historical pictures from Norway with special focus on Bergen and Western Norway. The Picture Collection is located at Nygårdsgaten 5.
The Rare Book Collection includes handwritten, antiquarian books, maps, and newspapers. The Rare Book Collection is located at Sydnesplass 7.
