- The Abington Social Library is a public library associated with the the library system that serves Pomfret, CT. The collection of the library contains more than 26,000 volumes.
The current Abington Social Library was built in 1833. Established in 1793, it is the oldest active Ladies' Library in the United States.
Hours:
Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
