Description :: The National Széchényi Library is the largest library in Hungary. Founded in 1802 as the library of the National Museum, it collects the widest range of books, periodicals and even small prints published in Hungary, as well as documents related to Hungary but published abroad. It also has a large collection of manuscripts and early books, a collection of maps, a collection of theatre history and a music collection. The library is open to everyone over the age of 18, and is of equal use to university students and senior researchers.
