What would be your most prized Firearms book or two and why?

Hatcher's Notebook is my favorite book on firearms. The author has a tremendous amount of working knowledge about the Springfield factory and a very easy to read writing style. I found the book very informative and a pleasure to read. Fact of the matter is, I couldn't put it down. The authors sense of humor and and insatiable curiosity had me hooked all the way. This is a must read book for all admirers of the gun! The book has been reprinted several times including The NRA Firearms Classic Library.

I have to agree with you about Hatcher's Notebook but the book that kept me engrossed was W.W. Greener's The Gun and its Development I could not put it down, he told me so much more about shotguns that I did not know.

I have several of Greener's books and he is a great author.
