I have City of Dreams here and have heard good things about it! Did you like it?

cmbohn - You are welcome!

cmt - I did! It took me a long time to read it (I'm sort of a slow reader anyway, but this one took me about a month to finish). But I did enjoy it. If you like American Colonial/Revolution historical fiction, then City of Dreams is a must read.

Susan,
I love the title of your thread!

If I could recommend for Maryland the Laura Lippman series opener - Baltimore Blues. I grew up in Baltimore and this book really brought back a lot of memories of the Maryland I remember.

Cheli ~ I will certainly check out Baltimore Blues. I have heard good things about Laura Lippman and will be glad to give her a try. I visited Baltimore once for a long weekend and found it to be a charming city. Thank you for the recommendation!

Wow, it's been over a year since this started! I've added a few books here and there. Currently working on my selection for Alabama gods in Alabama by Joshilyn Jackson.
