I was browsing around looking to see where I could find a new copy of Voyager (unabridged) on CD, and usually I have checked at Amazon, with no luck. Lo and behold today I happened to check B&N, and there it was for $50 (w/my B&N membership) and free shipping! I was thrilled! I ordered it pronto! Just thought I'd pass on the news, I guess it came out in June, but I've never seen it available except at Audible.com or Recorded books.

Who is the narrator, Julie? Just curious to know if it is Davina Porter, who does the narration for Recorded Books (and cannot be improved upon, IMHO). I own all the RB audio versions.

Stasia, it's Davina Porter, she does the narration for all the unabridged, I'd never buy the abridged.

I was not sure whether they had someone else do the recordings for B&N. Glad to hear that you got her.
I completely agree about the abridged versions - waste of time, IMHO.

I have stumbled upon the audio discs of the Outlander series and am thoroughly enthralled! If you want to review all the books in the series, listen to Davina Porter bring Claire and Jamie to life! It makes all the driving miles go away....

The books are brilliant on audio with Davina Porter. You don't have to pay a fortune. I get them online at Audible. I pay £7.95/month and get one (unabridged) book each month and in the US I believe you only pay $14.95/month.
I've listened to the first 3 books on audio (after having read them all) and the final book. In the beginning I thought Davina sounded too posh, snooty English, but either I got used to it or she began to sound more like I'd expect Claire to sound.
