It may have been the woman in the wheelchair, Brenda Varney, who now goes by the name Beatrice Carmody.

It could have been any of the characters we’ve so far come across, but like Eadie, for some reason Mrs Carmody sprung to my mind.

I wondered if it might be Arbel? It seems like we are already suspicious of Brenda Varney.

Mrs Carmody is one option, as is Arbel. Or alternatively it could be someone we are yet to find out about. I definitely don’t think it was a ghost.
