Connecting To Other Readers In Real Time

Is anyone else reading Freedom's Dominion by Jefferson Cowie? The New York Times review called it "Regretfully relevant" and that is my takeaway so far. Is there a Librarything feature to connect to other readers in real time, not after completing the book. Is this the forum?
