Help us open up our world this year.

Please can we go back to normal and boring this year?

Do not look to your immediate predecessors as role models. And, please, no more boredom.

Think before you act, please. At least count to ten (thousand) before you try anything questionable, okay?

I'm glad to be here and I'm going to do whatever I can to stay safe and healthy. There is no going back to normal. I will make the most of the "new" normal.

I'm going to read a lot of books, get a new dog (my darling Scout died Dec. 10), and make at least three quilts this year. Stay as happy and healthy as you can, everyone.
