Is justice different to revenge or vengeance?

I think so - justice is making sure that the person pays for what they've done and typically in a way sanctioned by society. Revenge and vengeance are more about payback and making the victim or the victim's associates feel better about things

Justice implies the law. Revenge/vengeance is more personal.

Sometimes justice is elusive but vengeance and revenge can make you feel warm all over. 😈😇😕
