Was it the right decision for them to let the robbers break into the vault?

based on all the problems associated with taking them in the tunnels (confined space, boobytraps, etc) and the delay that would be involved in opening the vault after it had been locked for the weekend, this was the best option available to them

It seemed like the best option even though so many things could go wrong.

I also believe it was the right thing to do. Who wants a gun fire battle in a tunnel?
