Any thoughts on the body being predicted to have been dead about 6 - 8 hours?

I guess they could tell how long the body has been dead by how stiff the body was when they poked it.

Lividly is usually what they use to determine how long someone has been dead. Blood recedes appearance at pretty much the same rate for every living human being. That might be why they poked the body...to see if it would show any movable blood remaining in the body. I didn't come up with this on my own...my live in cop provided this theory.

I could believe it. I don't think he was in the pipe long enough for it too by affected by the heat.
