Any further thoughts about the victim? Does she seem too good to be true?

she does - I think she relocated to the village to escape something/someone in her past and it's caught up with her

She doesn't seem to have existed before she came to the village 15 years before - this points me towards thinking she was in jail. Makes me more convinced that she was the 17-y-o girl arrested in the prologue.

I think Sergei is right and she is the 17-y-o girl that was arrested in the prologue. Maybe the murder is revenge for what happened 30 years ago.

I believe she was the girl in the prologue also. I'm surprised that with no one knowing anything about her past that Wesley and Heffernan haven't tried harder to find out where she came from and what she was doing before she arrive in the village.

I also think she was the girl from the prologue. I believe the murder is possibly some sort of revenge or payback.
