Any thoughts on the book so far?

opening at 3 stars. Lots of stuff going on and not much of it appearing to connect to the murder.

A good foundation set, plenty of characters and suspects introduced, and plenty of people with secrets...

It's an interesting setup so far. I'm starting with a 3.

I'm also starting with a 3. Lots of characters and lots of things happening. These are lots of unlikable people in this little village. Would someone please put Carstairs out of his misery???? How can he get away with eyeing underage girls and not be called out for it or outright fired?
