the books ive read for ssr are
1. that was then, this is now (i read pgs. 1-169)
2. the outsiders (i read pgs. 1-145)
That was then this is now-
i thought this was a great book. the main characters were Mark, M&M,and Bryon. It is about these 2 brothers (mark and Bryon) who get stuck when their good friend Charlie is killed. After this everything becomes different. M&M went missing, their mom went in the hospital and the brothers begin to grow apart. The, one night Bryon discovered something horrible about mark and had him sent to jail.
This book was very entertaining. It was always intense and it kept me on my toes. It also made me think of what i would do if i was in those situations.
The outsiders-
The main characters were
Ponyboy, Johnny, Dally, Sodapop,and Darry
This book was fantastic!!! Ponyboy, Soda, and Darry are brothers living with only each other and the gang. They are the greasers and live in the poor side of town. The socs on the other hand live rich and carefree. One night pony and johnny fall asleep in the lot by their houses and awake almost 3 hours later. When Pony goes home Darry hits him and so he goes back to find johnny still at the lot. they walk to the park and the socs meet them there. When johnny and pony confront them the socs chasa them to a water fountain. the begin drowning pony while johnny grabbes out his switch ans saved pony's life. Now everything has changed. They runaway and something else tragic hapens
i thought this book was one of the best i have ever read. I can't wait until i finish the book to see what happens.
