The White King is written from the main character’s point of view and since that character is a child, the story is told in that manner, which I really enjoyed. I’m not sure that I felt as if the child was the age he was supposed to be, but the perspective of life in a world of change going on through his eyes was certainly interesting. It made for a quick read that was easy to follow. There weren’t any really noteworthy things except one conversation where a man was talking about how boys used to stand up for themselves one on one and how times have changed so that now they have to gang up on someone and it proves that they’ve gotten more afraid and weak and such.

And that's the extent of my thinking.
