I grew up in a medium-sized city in the far south-west of England with the sea on one side and the beautiful bleakness of Dartmoor on the other. I’ve moved around a fair bit since then and I’ve done my share of interesting jobs (cinema projectionist, blood factory technician, bookseller…). I also like to travel. But I’ve always been writing – or at least thinking about writing – or at least pretending to be thinking about writing.

I’m the author of the Guardians of the Wild series: A Whisper of Wolves, Warning Cry, Gathering Voices and The Raven’s Call.

I now live in south-east London.
