Kevin Lockette has been a practicing physical therapist in the rehabilitation field since 1989 and is co-owner—with his wife, Ginger—of Ohana Pacific Rehab Services (www.ohanapacificrehab.com), LLC, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is the primary author of a landmark medical text on rehabilitation, Conditioning with Physical Disabilities (Human Kinetic Publishers, 1994).

He recently authored Move It—An Exercise and Mobility Guide for People with Parkinson’s Disease (www.parkinsonsmoveit.com) and has written numerous articles and lectured extensively in the area of exercise, with emphasis on physical disabilities.

Kevin is a past head coach for the United States Disabled Sports Team (a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee) and coached in international games, including the World Championships and the Paralympics in Barcelona, Spain, in 1992. Presently Kevin serves on the Board of Directors for the Hawaii Parkinson Disease Association, Clinical Advisory Counsel for HI Chapter of MS Society and is co-chairman of The State of Hawaii’s Fall Prevention Consortium.

Kevin enjoys canoe-paddling and weight-lifting. He is an avid college basketball fan and attends University of Hawaii sports whenever he can. Kevin is the father of a daughter and son (Griffin and Hudson, respectively), as well as being an athlete and history buff. He plays harmonica and ukulele and has a love for the blues.
