A propos de ma bibliothèque

Our library reflects our love of Mexico, its history and people and especially Mexican folk art. Most of the library is now installed upstairs at Efren’s Gallery in Ajijic, Mexico and is open to the public daily from 10-2.

A propos de moi

We are members of and invite you to visit www.ladap.org and consider joining our national non-profit organization named Los Amigos del Arte Popular. Our goal is to promote & educate the public about Mexican folk art and we use our membership dues and trip registration fees to carry out those projects. We recently published an Artes de Mexico book in cooperation with them about the glazed pottery made in Tlaquepaque between 1920-1945; two of our members were contributing writers and all photos used are pieces owned by our members. We have over 375 members in 17 states & Mexico and annually present an achievement award to the person we feel most deserves to be recognized for their work and publications promoting Mexican art & Mexican folk art. We have recognized these writers: Martha Egan, Marta Turok, Clara Bargellini Cioni,Marcus Burke and husband & wife team Alberto Ruy Sanchez & Margarita de Orellana and Marion Oettinger, Jr. Join and help us grow! Now living full time in Ajijic, Mexico where most of this personal library is now open to the public daily 10-2.
