If you want to study Chinese and learn about issues from the 1980s and early 1990s then this is the book for you. Otherwise find something more recent and save yourself a lot of grief. It still gets 3 stars because it's well thought out and arranged. However, the vocabulary choice and readings are no longer appropriate.
