I was sort of enjoying this third volume of Black Hammer Reborn because it really seemed to be setting things up for an interesting conclusion next volume.

But as I was logging the book I discovered this was the conclusion of the series.

So, yeah, now this book sucks.

I also see that Lemire plans another Black Hammer series called "The End," and I know I shouldn't bother with it, but I also know I'll probably pick it up and whine about it the whole way through.

I love love love the overarching concept of this series, but the execution is a mess, with a story line that's hopelessly muddled and confusing. I'll probably keep reading anyway, both for the gorgeous artwork and the gratifying girl-on-misogynist violence.
