As one who thought I understood the horrors of WWW11 & the Viet Nam war, I had a rude awakening to how very brutal the Viet Nam War was and how misled the World was by the media from America and abroad. I am aware of the way this Nation welcomed home the veterans who had fought with honorable intentions for others freedoms . However, I was not aware of the injustices that greeted them as they landed on America's shores. Many family members and friends served in those wars, some lost their lives, all were forever emotionally scarred for what they endured for others - FOR US!!
I heartily encourage all to read this humbling, inspiring story of this man's life growth and battles. I am certain all who read this will become a better person for doing so. What an incredible example of faith, forgiveness, perseverance, patriotism, lover of God and mankind he is.
If ever one deserves our support, he does.
There was a bit of repetition. The title is vague to me. Abetter title would be more fitting. However the book cover could not have been better. Also, be aware that although there is no profanity or sexual situations, some of the wording at times is very graphic.
In my review of this book, I offer a strong Four Stars rating.
