Penny Diane Wolin

Penny Wolin’s seminal exhibition and book, The Jews of Wyoming: Fringe of the Diaspora, is a wry and illuminating photographic documentary on five generations of Jewish life in the least populated state in the nation. On page after page, Wolin burrows into rarely-discussed dilemmas: harrowing immigrant struggles, the waning and revival of religious interest, Jew-against-Jew rivalries, intermarriage, anti-Semitism, and flight of the college-educated to more populated areas.
