I enjoyed this a lot, but mostly because I found the history interesting. I had already read a few of AML's books, which I liked, so I wanted to know more about her. Unfortunately, the writing is mediocre at best- it has the tone of a high school research paper, maybe a newspaper reporter. However it seems well researched and documented, and even has an index (a rare treat). Despite being 'about' AML, it of course necessarily needs to discuss her famous husband, Charles Lindbergh, whom I had never read about. He comes across as brilliant, talented, courageous, and somewhat authoritative- a definite type A, whereas she comes across as a very smart also courageous but somewhat submissive wealthy girl. Having been a radio operator myself (minimally) I related to her struggles and accomplishment in serving as crew and radio operator at a time when the technology was primitive. But she really came into her own with her writing, which this book unfortunately discusses in untalented writing.… (plus d'informations)
