Clover's Secret par Christine M. Winn
a young child tells her friend that she lives in a house with domestic violence and her friend wants her to tell the teacher.
Two girls are partnered in school. One is very boisterous and confident. The other, Clover, is very quiet and shy. They begin learning now to fly and Clover has a lot of trouble. They learn that how well you fly depends on how confident in yourself you are. One day, Clover doesn't show up for the community parade and her school partner becomes worried. She flies to Clover's house to check up on her and sees the shadow of two adults engaging in domestic violence and Clover outside on the porch crying. They fly away together and the other girl convinces Clover to talk to the teacher about her situation. The teacher gives Clover hope and help and the book ends with Clover confident that she will be a great flyer in no time. Great coping book for ages 3-8.
