Coming out before there was much discussion of PTSD, and the other horrors of the Second World War, this book upset those who would like to see history in very simple terms, and relay on "Jingoism" as a mind set. Real life isn't like that and this prose work arising from a TV documentary tries to expand the original work. WWII was a horrific Cataclysm, and those who were caught up in it, did in fact suffer. It gets an extra one half star because it deals with my country.½
