The German title of this book translates as «Do you remember? German poets reminisce». Published in the 1950s, this book brings together some fifteen autobiographical pieces of writing by mature German authors who came out of the Nazi period without blemish. Their writing refers to the period before the two world wars, conjuring up a German nostalgia for life, people and culture in Germany of the first quarter of the Twentieth century before the great demise of the German state.
