I received this title in ebook format as an Early Reviewers copy.
I have been really slow in reviewing it because it was not a very interesting read. The characters were mostly unappealing and I guessed who the criminal was as soon as he was introduced. I have reviewed other books for this age group with much better plots and characterization but found reading this a struggle. Too many of the details about high school life were repetitive and rather boring but then I'm not a high school student. The swearing and use of four letter words struck me as an attempt to appeal to the desired audience rather than necessary to support the plot and characterization. There were a number of loose ends but if this is part of a series they may be dealt with in the next book. I hope the author will try again because basically her plot is a good one but the book would have been better if it was shorter and better edited.… (plus d'informations)

I'm sorry, but this was not a good book. I have tried and tried to finish it but almost every sentence cries out to be edited. I don't know if anyone edited this book - I vote "not" because the writing is just that bad. I'm very sorry to say this about the writer as she has done something I haven't: actually written a complete book. But it's terrible. I had over 60 highlights in the first two chapters before I stopped marking bad passages.

I think with some more practice books and a decent editor, Miss Vincent might be able to produce something decent, but this isn't it.… (plus d'informations)
