I was trolling around goodreads yesterday looking for something fun to read after finishing a heavy book and found this wonderful short. I had read Mr. de Valera's book The Ultimate Submission and enjoyed his style. Unlike the previous book which was heavy on the sex, this gem turned out to be a campy ride with Julian Wingate and a special ring. It seems that while it's being worn, the ring imbues the wearer with some rather unique powers. Unfortunately, it turns out that the ring has a twin currently owned by a wealthy businesswoman known as the Directrix. The story has the perfect blend of the possible and the questionable that kept me reading and grinning. Julian is the perfect good guy while the Directrix is the perfect female villain and they play off of each other well. The secondary characters are well fleshed out and add a lot to the story. The story flows smoothly and the surprise ending leaves just enough of an opening for a sequel. Don't be put off by the cover just because it lacks a naked, buff torso. This short story delivers. Highly recommended.… (plus d'informations)

Now is the time to read this fun paranormal as the full trilogy is on the market. The story picks up right where Origins left off which works well. Julian and Rachna are mysteriously transported back to ancient Egypt where surprises await. This forces Julian's friends, Dinesh, Holstein, Roderick to team up with the evil Directrix, Vivian Loving and Hiro in what turns into a race to discover how Rachna and Julian disappeared. Without giving any spoilers, keep a close eye on the Directrix and Loving. Distrust and jealousies abound as the group rushes toward a most unusual HEA. Just as a warning to those readers that book covers make a big difference to, MLR Press gave this series covers that make the books look like comic books. The truth is that the books are well written and put together into an entertaining trilogy that will keep you guessing until the very end.… (plus d'informations)
