Almighty God, receive into thy protective care these men who are about to go forth to defend justice and freedom as members of the United States Navy. Give them strength to meet every trial, courage to face every danger, teach them to give and not to count the cost, to fight and not the heed the wounds, to work and not to see reward, that they may wear with honor the uniform of their country and serve it worthy.
