I like a good conspiracy theory as much as the next guy, but the author's attempt to convince me that all the major sports leagues manipulate their winners each season is a little too much to swallow.

The first half of the book was actually pretty good. The section on gambling especially does a great job of showing how much gambling has helped drive professional and college sports into financial powerhouses. The second half is pretty weak. At one point the author tries hard to show that every single superbowl since the mid-90s was manipulated in one way or another by the NFL. Unfortuantely, his arguments are both hollow and forced; forcing me to give the book only 2 stars.… (plus d'informations)
