If firearms were outlawed, would they just go away Would crime disappear? Would people agree to an comply with prohibiton? If not, what would they do about it?

In this book, J. David Truby answers those questions in no unceratain terms. Through rare photos of ingenious and very deadly improvised weapons collected from prisons, police departments, and Third World countries, he demonstartes that from a tecnological and psychological standpoint, gun control doesn't work.

Truby categorizes a wide variety of improvised/modified firearms, describes their anatomy and technology, then documents their distribution and use. Finally, he presents some remarkable sophisicated examples created by guerrillas, secret agents, criminals, prisoners, freedom fighters, and hobbyists around the world.

The undeniable conclusion is that a free people is an armed people, and if you take away the firearms of free people, they will make others. The method, means, and tecnology to do so are simple, convenient, and in place; police-state dictators provide the motive. Ironically, the very weapons they ban are often manufactured underground and turned against them-bringing about the feared results that inspired their gun-control laws in the first place. Both ancient and modern times are replete with frightening examples of this. So is this book. For information purposes only.
