Courte biographie
Una Vincenzo, Lady Troubridge, was born Margot Elena Gertrude Taylor. She was nicknamed Una by her family as a child and chose the name Vincenzo herself. She was raised in London and studied at the Royal College of Art. After graduation, she set up her own sculpture studio. In 1907, her father died, leaving her with limited financial resources; marriage became her most practical option.

The following year, she married Ernest Troubridge, an officer in the British Navy, with whom she had a daughter. Her husband rose to the rank of admiral during and immediately after World War I, and was knighted in 1919, making her Lady Troubridge. The couple were already legally separated at the time. She met Marguerite Radclyffe Hall in 1915, and the two moved in together in 1917. Together they raised and showed dachshunds and griffons. In the late 1930s, they decided to move with Eugenie Souline to Florence, Italy, but were forced to return at the outbreak of World War II.
They settled together in Devonshire. Una stayed with her partner and nursed her until she died in 1943. In 1945, Una published her biography The Life and Death of Radclyffe Hall. She was also a successful literary translator and introduced the French writer Colette to English readers.
