Whitnay and Braysen’s story is such a fun, hot as h3ll intense read and I need more now. Whitnay has been crushing on Braysen for a while now and what she doesn’t know is he has been feeling the same, but she gets tongue tied when it comes to talking to him. Their story is interconnected in so many ways with friendships, hidden identities of sorts, etc. but the chemistry is insanely good. The steam and suspense had me on my toes craving more, so now I will not so patiently wait for the next book.… (plus d'informations)

Heading on holiday Jacey not only was dumped by her boyfriend that was supposed to come with her, but now she stuck on this mountain with things looking dismal until she sees a bar and goes for help. When Jacey first walks into the bar she is blown away with Slade and his offer to help her. The attraction is instantaneous, the chemistry is off the charts, but could there be more lurking under it all? This quick read was incredibly spicy, yet sweet and I wish we could see her sister be put in her place a little more but overall, a perfect holiday read.… (plus d'informations)

"I'll always be your lighthouse, baby." I croak as a wall of emotion hits me too. "I'll be your safe haven, forever."

THIS IS A ARC REVIEW, and may have spoilers.

I had a really hard time reading this, and writing this review. There are a few reasons for that, one of them, is a main topic of this story… Addiction. Addiction is hard. It is hard on the person going through it. It is hard on the people you love, your family, your job, everything. Talking about addiction is difficult, writing a story, where addiction plays a huge role.. Even harder I would imagine.

I was able to overcome my addiction, on my own, not everyone can. Some, like one of the people in this book, lost their life to their addiction. We don’t now, and especially back in the 80’s, when this story is set, talk about addiction enough. We don’t treat it like the disease that it is. I wont turn this into an addiction PSA. But, if you need help, please, seek it.

This story has loss, death, music, rock n roll, and a second chance for love. While I cried a LOT during this book, I also smiled and had my heart tugged at just as much. Em does a masterful job of making the words on the page, become emotions in your soul. Ones, that at times spill out in tears, other in smiles, and sometimes remembering that once was love who you hurt and who hurt you.

I highly suggest, if you can handle the Tws, to give this story a read. The love story that is there, is deserving of each one of y’all’s time. The heartache, and the healing that is in here, is as well.

5/5 stars.
