This book could have been considerably shorter. Honestly, the book at large is probably only worth a 2 star rating- I didn't find all of the anecdotes incredibly interesting, and the tone of the book was a little bit pretentious.
However, the key premise behind this book is very interesting. Power structures are changing with the invention of social media, and I read this book for the same reason anyone else would, to learn about how it functions.
In this way, the book is effective but you can really stop a couple chapters in. The basic ideas make a lot of sense and changed the way I saw social media, but far too many details were given throughout the book.
I'm pretty sure there's a 20 minute TED talk on this out there, I should have just watched that.… (plus d'informations)
